This includes the recycle bin, registry cache and so on. But Wipe doesn't only address the operating system, as it can also remove files generated by various applications, like Internet Explorer, allowing the removal of all the cache, cookies and history generated by this web browser, thus improving security and privacy.

Some 3rd party applications can also be scanned for unwanted data. These include Adobe Reader, Winamp, WinRAR and so on. This feature can save a lot of hard disk space. The configuration section of Wipe is very comprehensive and allows configuring a lot of aspects, for example, setting the program to run together with Windows or start minimized. There is also a Task Manager available in this section, which allows terminating any running process, doing this in a better way than the default Windows Task Manager.
